I work as a personal coach for athletes at a corrective exercise facility. We work on training functional movement patterns while trying to fix form. Three of my athletes are runners who are training for marathons. I work with them on running technique, breathing patterns, and strengthening exercises for their running form! I also work as a group trainer at F45 gyms. As a physical therapy student, I know training techniques and injury prevention methods for athletes.

I did all types of sports growing up in Minnesota. I played soccer, ran track, and cross-country skied in high school. However, most of my major achievements have come from outside the educational system. I ran my first fifty-mile race, Fans, at the age of thirteen. I proceeded to run another fifty-miler, Voyageur, at fifteen.

Since then, I've run six marathons, run the R2R2R, and finished my first hundred-miler this past year at the Mogollon Monster! While my heart lies in ultras, I'm currently training to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

My coaching comes with one session per week. I train athletes by either showing them strengthening exercises, taking them through a running workout, or working to minimize any pain they might be having by doing manual therapy. I'll also make my clients running plans so that they have a way to make it to race day. In a nutshell, I provide in-person coaching once a week, focusing on what the client wants to do during that session while remaining a virtual coach and accountability partner during the rest of the week.
